I'm not surprised that acne causes anxiety and depression because you become extremely self-conscious when you have a giant pimple on top of your nose. Acne was the biggest issue. In hindsight, it seems like such a trivial thing. I suppose the raging hormones brought with it excessive feelings of fear and anxiety. Thank God I am in my 40's now!
