Even though getting old or looking older is a very natural process and part of each of our lives, we all try to postpone it as long as possible. The first sign of aging is most identified with the wrinkle. There are so many different wrinkle treatments and wrinkle creams to choose from, but many people are allergic to or sensitive to the many different chemicals used in these wrinkle potions. Professional wrinkle treatments (Botox, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, laser treatments, collagen injections) are costly in both time and money. For these reasons, so many are looking for natural, home remedies: WRINKLES BE GONE!
Whether you have laugh lines, crow’s feet, frown lines or just plain ol’ wrinkles that have formed around your mouth, eyes or forehead, these tips can help prevent and diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Exfoliate: By using an exfoliating scrub, the dead skin cells are removed, allowing your skin to not only feel but look refreshed. For maximum results, exfoliate two times a week and use a good face moisturizer afterwards to hydrate your skin. Try using a basic salt, sugar or oatmeal scrub to expose newer, younger skin.
Eatable Remedies: Not only is it good to eat a well balanced diet including lots of fresh fruits and vegetables for their vitamin content, but also for their antioxidants. You can also use these natural products as topical wrinkle treatments. Avocado, which is rich in moisture and Vitamin E, can be used as a facial mask to hydrate and gently remove wrinkles. Both papaya and Aloe Vera gel can be used as a facial peel to remove old looking skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles. Milk contains alpha-hydroxy acids, known to work against free radicals and help with collagen growth to fill in the fine lines of your face and neck, and can be applied to the wrinkled area with a soaked towel.
Stress seems to be blamed for everything these days, but with good reason. A study done at the University of Pennsylvania found “that tension can affect cells located beneath the skin surface resulting in a decrease in elasticity and deeper facial lines”. To prevent wrinkles, you need to find a time to relax and rejuvenate yourself. A habit of daily exercise can be an effective stress reliever, not to mention, a great way to stay fit and healthy; looking and feeling younger longer.
After hundreds of years, we’re still looking for the fountain of youth and trying to hide our true age. The cosmetic industry has given us a wide variety of different products to eliminate wrinkles, unfortunately, with an even wider variety of chemicals. If wrinkles are a natural dilemma, shouldn’t we look to natural wrinkle products to war against these unwanted signs of aging?

I agree that natural anti-aging solutions are safer and can be very effective. Science has brought us some great natural alternatives to fight aging. We don’t need chemicals or side effects, only results.
Diet does play a role in how we look. What we put in our body directly affects the results we get. Stress affects our health as well as our appearance. It is hard to avoid stress but the suggestions you gave are good ones that can work.

Stress, diet, and drinking plain water does help our skin look better and it also helps us to feel better as well. As far as what products to use, well that is not only confusing, but you must find something that is affordable to you.

Hi Five Folks – as we all get older – I’m guessing everyone still feels eighteen from the inside out – then one day you look in the mirror and you can almost see the mirror reflection of one of your parents looking back at you – after you pick up your tooth brush from the floor you suddenly realize its not only your teeth you should have been looking after its those wrinkles and the sagging skin you see and then the penny drops its the outta wrapping you should have been paying more attention to and taking more pre care to avoid the evolution of time taking your skin over the limits of vanity – lol – great article I want everyone to read it?
All my best to you and what ever your doing about it

I agree totally that much can be done about wrinkles – WITHOUT resorting to dangerous chemicals. I often ask people if they would choose to be wrinkle free – if that beauty cost them 10 years off their lives. Sadly, many would make that choice, which is an insight into why we do things that are definitely not in our own best interests. Wrinkles are cured from the inside out.

Nice article. I am in age when women start to take care of wrinkles seriously, but I would never rely on chemicals. I believe we should be connected to nature. If the mother nature gives a chance to improve our appearance, yes, let’s use it! But we should cross the borders of natural care…

Wrinkles Be Gone! I love it. I need it as well. Thank you for the information. The natural approach is safer and much more cost effective than prescribed medications. I am at a point in life where this is information that is useful and practical for me. Thanks!

Another thing none of those chemical pushing hucksters fail to mention is the more their products are used, the greater the need for wrinckle remedies. They’re all about the bucks. So the best defence is to care about and for our selves – they won’t.
I appreciate you,

Nobody can get away with the aging process. We are all heading in that direction. There are ways though to slow down the process. As the article suggests, we need to have a balanced diet, lead a stress-free life, and of course do a bit of cosmetic remedies like exfoliating the skin. There’s nothing wrong in wanting to stay youthful looking for as long as we can. We just have to work on it.
