The reasons why individuals suffer from acne are due to overactive glands, blockage of skin pores, skin inflammation and activity of normal skin bacteria. The causes of this skin care condition are known, available and exposed to the human mind. Meaning it’s easier to forge a remedy or cure to prevent, treat or eliminate acne while enhancing your skin care.
The Rosacea Affect
Rosacea is an entirely different story. The causes of this skin condition are unknown to science. So, trying to fight-off this skin condition is a much more difficult task to tackle.
But not impossible, there do exist Rosacea prevention treatments – supposed cures that will distance you from the irritating skin condition.
It’s believed when your face blood vessels widen and engorge the areas around your cheeks, nose and eyes become red and flush. But till this day nothing is concrete. Making it quite difficult to produce an effective Rosacea treatment!
According to studies the unknown skin condition affects over 45 million North Americans and millions worldwide – driving kid’s insane and young adults bonkers!
The causes of the skin condition might very well be undistinguished but there have been certain methods appointed to treating the flushness and redness of Rosacea, such as:
Rosacea Remedies
- Soak a soft cloth in ice-cold water and apply it to the irritated, flushed sections of your face. The cold will constrict the blood vessels and reduce redness.
- It’s always a good idea during the summer heat to take a swim. Either in a pool or under the waves of a beach. However, never for too long. Too much chemicals from a pool may irritate your skin. Beach water is known to dry skin.
- Avoid hurtful procedures such as facial puffs, loofa sponges or brushes – these procedures irritate your skin and cause redness.
- After cleansing, smoothly apply a moisturizer that contains cucumber extracts – Cucumber alleviates the redness of Rosacea.
- Choose products made for delicate, sensitive skin. Cosmetics that are talc-free are the best choice and are widely available at drug stores – read the label!. Products containing talc will irritate sensitive skin and contribute to Rosacea flushing.
- The sun can quickly trigger your skin to flare-ups, stay in the shade. It’s important that in hot weather you use sunscreen and a hat. In addition, make sure your sunscreen contains titanium dioxide as one of its main ingredients and is rated SPF 15 or higher.
- Avoid spicy foods made with hot chili peppers, Tabasco sauce, and horseradish as much as possible – spicy foods are known to trigger flushing.

OMG! I can always avoid the sun, but spicy food? its going to be hard to let that go! I didn’t know that this skin problem was called Rosacea. Anyway, thanks for the tips.
You’re absolutely right! Giving up spicy foods is sure difficult.
Regarding the sun … good sunscreen, hat or hooded sweater and a pair of jeans will be sufficient.
But if you have Rosacea or know someone who does then I suggest you follow these tips. If not the side effects can be dreadful.
Thank you for commenting Laura, hope to see from you soon.
