Stretch Marks and Their Treatment

A fissure in the dermis is what is called a stretch mark, or striae. They are scars. Most of the time in their first stages, they are reddish or purple, turning into a lighter color afterwards.

Pregnant women are affected by this condition in approximately 90%, while teenagers vary depending on the sex: 70% in females and 40% males.
