Q. What Are Stretch Marks?

A. Stretch marks are tiny tears in the dermis that are scars and can vary in color from a light pink to a dark purple. Over a very long period of time, usually years, stretch marks can fade in color, but the scars remain.

Q. What is the  cause of Stretch marks?

A. Stretch marks are caused when the skin is stretched to the point of breaking down, similar to elastic losing its' elasticity. Losing collagen and elastin in the skin causes stretch marks, loss of tone, fine lines and wrinkles. When there is a breakdown or loss of elastin and collagen fibers or excessive stretching in the skin, the mark actually shows through to the epidermis (top layer of skin).

BIOSKINCARE™ penetrates through the epidermis down into the dermis where its ingredients go to work repairing the damaged area.

Our skin consists of three layers. 

The Epidermis - The top layer of the skin, locks in moisture and blocks toxins from entering the body.

Q. Why Do People Get Stretch Marks?

A. There are several different factors that contribute to the formation of stretch marks.

Heredity - Some skin is genetically prone to stretch marks
Skin Type - Some skin is dryer with less elasticity than others i.e. dry skin vs. oily skin,
Weight - rapid gain or loss,
Pregnancy - the weight gain associated with pregnancy.
Although some people are more susceptible to stretch marks, anyone can get them.
Stretching of the skin during rapid weight gain or rapid growth (in young children and adolescents) is a major cause of stretch marks.
The non-occurrence of stretch marks during one pregnancy does not necessarily mean stretch marks will not occur in another.
Stretch marks are not gender specific - men and women are susceptible to these unsightly marks.

Q. How does BIOSKINCARE™ work?
A. It helps to get rid of dead cells (due to the action of the glycolic acid it contains) and most important it triggers the process of new collagen formation and accelerates the replacement of damaged cells.

The key to skin renewal is a process where (1) the skin is irritated or slightly damaged by exfoliating agents or other procedures ("sanding" with the massage routine just described or by dermabrasion, or burning by laser). This is followed by (2) a natural rebuilding of the skin that removes imperfections, rebuilds collagen and elastin fibers that tighten skin, and increases the amount of glycosamoinoglycans, the moisture-holding proteins that give skin its firmness.

The stronger the exfoliation or skin damage, the stronger is the skin rebuilding action. Unfortunately, strong exfoliation causes strong skin irritation with itching, burning, and pain.

And the results of laser resurfacing or dermabrasion depend on the skills of the practician. However, to get good results with any skin resurfacing procedure it is imperative skin healing progresses at rapid pace.

This is where BIOSKINCARE™ plays its role. The massage routine is designed to "sand" the dead skin layer by layer, at a pace your body can act upon with its own resources and the help of BIOSKINCARE™.

BIOSKINCARE™ contains enzymes combines with bio-available skin regeneration accelerators as in the snail secretions it is made off.

Those accelerators are glycoproteins and peptides (amino-acid chains) that signal the body to start reproducing human skin cells as quickly as the process works for the repair of the snail's skin.

Part of the effect of BIOSKINCARE™ is decreasing the "glue" that holds dead cells on the surface of the skin. Enzymes reduce the thickness of the hyperkeratotic stratum corneum by reducing cell cohesion in lower levels of the stratum corneum. This, plus the skin regeneration components in BIOSKINCARE™ triggers an increase in cell renewal. 

And helps the dead cells to slough off (desquamation), speeds skin turnover, and brings to the surface a layer of smoother, softer skin. It also removes skin lesions, and restores the skin firmness, elasticity, and internal moisture-holding properties.

It usually takes about eight weeks of regular use to see a significant improvement in the skin and with long term use ( 4 to 6 months), plus the home massage routine, the results for old and rough stretch marks may be as good as a strong chemical peel or a skilled dermabrasion or laser re-surfacing procedure.

Massage routine:  When using BIOSKINCARE™ for old and rough stretch marks, at night, two or three times a week (not more), you can also take a relaxing bath and apply a strong massage with a wooden massager and a body scrub to exfoliate dead cells. Exfoliation can help remove the dull skin and the dead cells in the scars that show as stretch marks, but only if the skin has been sufficiently loosened by the bath.  Apply the body scrub and some moisturizer of your choice (any Aloe Vera Gel or the cream Lubriderm) on the area to be massaged with the wooden massager. Q. How long does it take for the BIOSKINCARE™ Cream to work?

A. The healing process for each individual's skin is different, so there is no way to provide a specific time frame regarding the length of time that it will take for you to see results. However, we have generally found that people begin to see results after about 3-4 weeks of use. The level of results differs from person to person, depending on the severity of your stretch marks and your personal health habits. For instance, the effectiveness of this natural skin care cream can be influenced if you smoke, drink alcohol or sunbathe. These factors are very harmful to your skin and can slow down the healing process. Apply the massage routine and then BIOSKINCARE™ to get rid of old and rough stretch marks.

Q. How long does it take to start showing that it is removing my stretch marks?

It will take somewhere from 2-8 months to even out the streaks and fade away the marks.
