Stretch Marks Biological Treatment FAQ
Stretch Marks Biological Treatment FAQ
1. Q. What Are Stretch Marks?
A. Stretch marks are tiny tears in the dermis that are scars and can vary in color from a light pink to a dark purple. Over a very long period of time, usually years, stretch marks can fade in color, but the scars remain.
2. Q. What is the cause of Stretch marks?
A. Stretch marks are caused when the skin is stretched to the point of breaking down, similar to elastic losing its’ elasticity. Losing collagen and elastin in the skin causes stretch marks, loss of tone, fine lines and wrinkles. When there is a breakdown or loss of elastin and collagen fibers or excessive stretching in the skin, the mark actually shows through to the epidermis (top layer of skin).
BIOCUTIS Cream for stretch marks penetrates through the epidermis down into the dermis where its ingredients go to work repairing the damaged area.
Our skin consists of three layers.
- The Epidermis – The top layer of the skin, locks in moisture and blocks toxins from entering the body.
- The Dermis – The second layer of the skin, (where stretch marks occur), is where our skin produces collagen and elastin fibers which give it a firmer and younger appearance.
- The Hypodermis – The third layer of skin, which is composed of fat and connective tissue.
3. Q. Why Do People Get Stretch Marks?
A. There are several different factors that contribute to the formation of stretch marks.
- Heredity – Some skin is genetically prone to stretch marks
- Skin Type – Some skin is dryer with less elasticity than others i.e. dry skin vs. oily skin,
- Weight – rapid gain or loss,
- Pregnancy – the weight gain associated with pregnancy.
- Although some people are more susceptible to stretch marks, anyone can get them.
Stretching of the skin during rapid weight gain or rapid growth (in young children and adolescents) is a major cause of stretch marks.
The non-occurrence of stretch marks during one pregnancy does not necessarily mean stretch marks will not occur in another.
Stretch marks are not gender specific – men and women are susceptible to these unsightly marks.
4. Q. How does BIOCUTIS work?
A. It helps to get rid of dead cells (due to the action of the enzymes it contains) and most important it triggers the process of new collagen formation and accelerates the replacement of damaged cells.
The key to skin renewal is a process where (1) the skin is irritated or slightly damaged by exfoliating agents or other procedures (“sanding” with the massage routine just described or by dermabrasion, or burning by laser). This is followed by (2) a natural rebuilding of the skin that removes imperfections, rebuilds collagen and elastin fibers that tighten skin, and increases the amount of glycosamoinoglycans, the moisture-holding proteins that give skin its firmness.
The stronger the exfoliation or skin damage, the stronger is the skin rebuilding action. Unfortunately, strong exfoliation causes strong skin irritation with itching, burning, and pain.
And the results of laser resurfacing or dermabrasion depend on the skills of the practician. However, to get good results with any skin resurfacing procedure it is imperative skin healing progresses at rapid pace.
This is where BIOCUTIS plays its role. The massage routine is designed to “sand” the dead skin layer by layer, at a pace your body can act upon with its own resources and the help of BIOCUTIS cream.
BIOCUTIS immune serum, the natural active ingredient in our skin care products, contains enzymes combined with bio-available skin regeneration accelerators.
Those accelerators are glycoproteins and peptides (amino-acid chains) that signal the body to start reproducing human skin cells as quickly as the process works for the repair of the snail’s skin.
Part of the effect of BIOCUTIS is decreasing the “glue” that holds dead cells on the surface of the skin. Enzymes reduce the thickness of the hyperkeratotic stratum corneum by reducing cell cohesion in lower levels of the stratum corneum. This, plus the skin regeneration components in BIOSKINCARE™ triggers an increase in cell renewal.
And helps the dead cells to slough off (desquamation), speeds skin turnover, and brings to the surface a layer of smoother, softer skin. It also removes skin lesions, and restores the skin firmness, elasticity, and internal moisture-holding properties.
It usually takes about eight weeks of regular use to see a significant improvement in the skin and with long term use ( 4 to 6 months), plus the home massage routine, the results for old and rough stretch marks may be as good as a strong chemical peel or a skilled dermabrasion or laser re-surfacing procedure.
Massage routine: When using BIOCUTIS BIOBODYCREAM for old and rough stretch marks, at night, two or three times a week (not more), you can also take a relaxing bath and apply a strong massage with a wooden massager and a body scrub to exfoliate dead cells. Exfoliation can help remove the dull skin and the dead cells in the scars that show as stretch marks, but only if the skin has been sufficiently loosened by the bath. Apply the body scrub and some moisturizer of your choice (any Aloe Vera Gel or the cream Lubriderm) on the area to be massaged with the wooden massager. After the massage apply BIOBODYCREAM immediately on your reddened skin.
5. Q. Why is BIOCUTIS a wise biological solution for Stretch Marks?
Our skin has a reputation of being a barrier to exterior environment by not letting substances such as cosmetic ingredients or airborne pollutants into it. The truth is that the skin acts as a filter to assess and determine the relationship – the user-friendliness, if you will – to the interior body itself. The skin is a very accommodating organ. It is built to adapt to the environment so it can help to keep us alive in any given climate. The most immediate environment to our skin is what we put on it topically. Yes, the skin care and cosmetics we select.
The skin’s natural filtering system decides to accept or reject those products. Is it “skin-friendly” or is it toxic? The best accepted products are those that contain natural constituents – - – the skin’s own ingredients.
BIOCUTIS contains powerful biological proteoglycans, glycosaminoglycans, protein enzymes and copper peptides & antimicrobial peptides.
The compound acts as a biological activator of both the elimination of dead and damaged skin cells and the renewal of healthy cells.
6. Q. How long does it take for the BIOCUTIS BIOBODYCREAM Cream to work?
A. The healing process for each individual’s skin is different, so there is no way to provide a specific time frame regarding the length of time that it will take for you to see results. However, we have generally found that people begin to see results after about 3-4 weeks of use. The level of results differs from person to person, depending on the severity of your stretch marks and your personal health habits. For instance, the effectiveness of this natural skin care cream can be influenced if you smoke, drink alcohol or sunbathe. These factors are very harmful to your skin and can slow down the healing process. Apply the massage routine and then BIOBODYCREAM to get rid of old and rough stretch marks.
7. Q. How long does it take to start showing that it is removing my stretch marks?
A. IF you apply BIOBODYCREAM with discipline and follow the massage routine just described you will soon start noticing a change in your skin texture – it will become baby smooth-. Then you will know how much and how frequently it is necessary for you to get the full results you want. If you don’t see any smoothing in 4 weeks you should send the empty jar back to us for your full refund because this probably won’t work for you.
It will take somewhere from 2-8 months to even out the streaks and fade away the marks. And if by that time you still have some problem with uneven skin tone, you should keep massaging the cream once in a while. Keep in mind that your stretch marks did not come over night, and there is no magic to get them to disappear over night.
8. Q. Does this product work for all kinds of stretch marks ?
A. Yes. BIOBODYCREAM by BIOCUTIS® dramatically improves the appearance of all kinds of stretch marks on your body.
9. Q. Will BIOCUTIS help me get rid of all my stretch marks or does it just fade them?
A. Once you start using BIOCUTIS BIOBODYCREAM, twice a day or with the massage routine, within a very short period of time you will start to see good results. The marks will reduce both in width and depth, to a point they become smooth just like normal skin and you will not feel the streaks any more, although you will still see the fine lines. This will happen in 2-4 months time, depends on how your skin reacts to the cream. It will then take some more time to even out the skin tone. You can reduce the massage of the cream into your skin to once a day and also use a moisturizing cream.
The healing process may take from a few months to a year or so to get the full results you want. For most people the stretch mark scars will be completely gone with the treatment. But if your stretch marks are old, deep, wide and close some faint traces might remain for a longer period of time.
10. Q. Will it prevent stretch marks?
A. Yes. As the skin heals this cream will thicken the skin and keep it more elastic. This in turn will give your skin the ability to stretch more without damage.
11. Q. Will this product work for old stretch marks?
A. Yes. The newer your stretch marks are, the sooner and better this product works. But we have amazing testimonials from people that had very old stretch marks, and it worked great for them. Apply the massage routine and then BIOBODYCREAM to get rid of old and rough stretch marks.
12. Q. Should I lose weight before I start using BIOCUTIS ?
A. The sooner you take care of your stretch marks the better. Older scars take more time to heal. So if you start applying BIOBODYCREAM as you are losing weight the improvement of your skin condition will even help you to be better motivated while losing weight.
13. Q. My skin is very sensitive. Is this cream hypoallergenic? Is it safe? Does it have any side effects?
A. BIOBODYCREAM is all natural and has absolutely no side effects at all. It is non-comedogenic (will not clog pores), non-irritating, and it is also a natural antibiotic that destroys bacteria (great for acne).
14. Q. How often do I use it?
A. Twice daily, Morning and Evening. For best results with old and rough stretch marks apply the suggested massage routine and then BIOBODYCREAM to get rid of old and rough stretch marks.
15. Q. How much do I use?
A. A small amount goes a long way. More is not necessarily better.
16. Q. How long does it last?
A. Based on an average size person’s stomach area, about 4 weeks.
17. Q. Do I have to continue to use it?
A. No. If you stop using BIOBODYCREAM stretch marks will not come back. Continued use for 6 to 8 months further improves the skin’s appearance.
18. Q. Why is this cream more expensive than other creams?
A. This is not a moisturizing cream, this is a skin repair cream. It is also very concentrated so you use half the amount as you would of other creams. It is also the only cream that has the ingredients of the skin in a natural organic biological skin-friendly form supplied by a living creature which is not exposed to any damage whatsoever in the process of obtaining his precious substance.
19. Q. Can I test BIOBODYCREAM on my self?
A. If you buy only one 120 gram tube, you should apply the cream to only one side of your body for a month as in our studies. After about 4 weeks you will see the difference between the two sides; then you may decide to continue using it on both sides.
